Breaking News!
Here are some of the affects of climate change in our world.
Impact on the Environment:
Shrinking Glaciers:*

Extreme Weather Patterns:

Global Warming will increase the ocean's temperature. That will result in more powerful and more frequent hurricanes/typhoons. Some places on Earth will get more humid, while others will become more arid. Serious droughts and heat waves will be experienced in some areas of the world. Africa will suffer the worst of it, while Europe is expected to receive severe droughts, as well as other places.
Other:

- Mount Kilimanjaro's ice caps may disappear in about 20 years
- There will be shifts in where animals and plants live
- The Arctic region's temperatures are rising twice as fast as the rest of the world's
- Different length in growing seasons
- Different animal and plant species may become extinct
- Coral reefs will be destroyed
Impacts on Humans:
Spreading of Disease:

With the atmosphere warming, insects with diseases will spread north bringing sickness and plague with them.
Transport:

Greater temperature change means more of a need for maintenance of roads and airplane runways and pipelines.
Economic Consequences:

As more hurricanes are starting, billions of dollars are used to pay for the damage. Diseases also cost lots of money to cure and to control.
*Which also impacts humans - Studies have shown that sea ice coverage has already shrunk by about 50% from 1979 to 2005
